The XXI century is known for the the most colorful and exciting films in the entire history of cinema. However, no matter how impressive the films are, they still do not replace books that make it possible to see the described world in your imagination exactly as you perceive it.
Everyone has their own literary preferences, however, the book you are reading can be astonishing, gripping, haunting, goofy, heartfelt, soulful, creepy, depressive, truthful, engaging, redundant, or mind-numbing (very boring), splendid, great.
Most books should be based on some facts, life stories or scientific research. After all, we all love to read books with an interesting plot.
Let's write a book review together with you using the necessary vocabulary.
We are ging to take the detective book Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie.
The story follows Monsieur Hercule Poirot, a smart, logical, Belgian private detective with an intricate waxed mustache. It was written and set in the 1930s, so some expressions are outdated, and Poirot speaks quite a lot of French.
At the beginning of the book, Poirot is in a hotel in Turkey, having finished his business, he sits down to dinner when he notices an American tourist who, as he observes, has animal eyes and an evil look. The next day on the Orient Express, the same man asks Poirot to take care of his case, as he says his life is in danger. However, Poirot refuses, despite the fact that a man named Ratchett offers him large sums of money. When Ratchett asks about a reason, Poirot replies that he doesn't like his face!
At night, Poirot hears strange sounds from other compartments of the car, and the next morning he discovers that Ratchett was killed in his compartment, receiving twelve stab wounds.

I would never have thought that, almost 100 years later, Agatha Christie's detective stories would be read along with the works of Conan Doyle, because these days there is a huge variety of new twisted detective genre works. While reading this book, it was very interesting for me to delve into the details of the investigation. At that moment, I even forgot about such seemingly important moments as social networks, checking the messenger and everything else. In my opinion, it is this efficiency and consistency of solving crimes that is so mesmerizing. The work contains a lot of various factors, nuances, and characters in the end.
This was my first Agatha Christie novel, and it definitely didn't disappoint. I didn't expect this ending, which is obviously a good thing in a murder detective story. I'm proud of myself for catching some of the evidence. I'm so impressed with how she was able to weave this tangled story in just 200 pages, and I can't wait to read another of her novels in the future!
I definitely recommend this book to everyone and give it the highest mark.
